Faith Mission - This non-profit organization provides food, shelter, and clothing at centers for disadvantaged and homeless men, women, and families. Players help prepare/serve a meal. Payer contributions could provide funds for health needs, household equipment, clothing, and food.

Lutheran Village of Columbus - This is a center for nursing care, assisted living, and retirement living. Players might drive residents to doctor appointments, field trips, or shopping. Help is needed to assist wheelchair-bound residents to Chapel services on Sunday, and also to do outside work such as gardening or care for bird feeders. Payers contributions would provide funds for activities or help support residents who can no longer support themselves financially (Rose of Concern).

Beacon Group #31 - This group meets the third Thursday of the month. Members make quilts, lap robes, pads, knitted garments and other clothing. Beacon #31 is our church's auxiliary of Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio (LSS) and supports its work where needed. Payers contributions might pay for material and other supplies.

Health & Wholeness - The Health & Wholeness TEAM members communicate the integration of a person's physical, mental and spiritual growth through programs and ministries within the congregation and community.

Member Assistance - Players would assist members of North Community Lutheran Church who have special needs such as transportation to doctor appointments, performing small jobs at the member's home or performing other tasks that a member has difficulty doing on his/her own. Payer contributions would go toward any needed supplies.

Other TEAMS that function when volunteers are available: Literacy Tutor (helping local citizens in learning to read); Integrational Partnerships (pairing members of various ages together for social & spiritual fellowship); Mission Partnership (foreign church, mission congregation or missionary with which we would maintain communication and gather needed supplies for their mission); Hunger and Relief (working with relief and education organizations such as the LSS Food Pantry, ELCA World Hunger, Bread for the World and Life Care Alliance (Meals on Wheels) or possibly a crisis team to respond to a disaster); Youth Mentors (This ELCA national program pairs confirmation age youth with a confirmed member of the congregation who serve as a mentor during their years of instruction). If any of these TEAMS would be of interest to you, contact Pastor John at 614-888-1955 or email him at prkinds@rrohio.com. Thank you.
